Speke Hotel is named after the famous British explorer, John Hannington Speke who discovered the source of Nile. Its one of the first and oldest hotel in Uganda built in the British colonial times of the 1920s. The hotel has 50 en-suite rooms and 10 apartments with all the modern luxury facilities with a taste of colonial ambience. There are also various theme restaurants -including Italian and Indian- and one of the best cocktail bars in Uganda. The conference hall holds best of the modern day facilities.

Hotel Policy : Cancellation -
Unless stipulated otherwise in advance, guests are obliged to pay the prices for accommodation and other services rendered in accordance with the valid price list upon arrival. A retention charge of one night shall be levied in case the guest reduces the number of nights booked for the stay in the hotel.

On the basis of a confirmed booking the hotel is obliged to accommodate a guest from 12 Noon to 12 Noon next day.

The hotel may offer guests who ask to extend their stay, a different room to the one in which they were originally accommodated. In the event that the hotel has already reserved this room beforehand, and the guest fails to heed requests to vacate the room, or if he or she is not present in the hotel, the hotel reserves the right with a three-member committee in attendance to catalog the guests possessions and to store them in a safe place so that the room can be used by the guest for whom it has been reserved

Companys lien on guest luggage and belongings -
In the case of default in payment of dues by a guest, the Management shall have the lien on their luggage and belongings and be entitled to detain the same, and to sell or auction such property at any time without reference to the guest. The net sale proceeds will be appropriated towards the amount due by the guest without prejudice to the Managements right to adopt such further recovery proceedings as may be required.
Guarantee Policy : Deposit of 1 nights room charge is required at booking.
