Getting there.
Both airport terminals are connected to the metro system, which runs to the city centre. Single tickets cost about 1 TRY. Alight at Zeytinburnu Station, and take the tram to Sultan Ahmed Station. The hotel is a seven-minute walk from there. Taxis wait outside Arrivals; fixed prices are in place and the fare to the Tria Hotel should be about 20 TRY. At night, there is a 50 percent surcharge. Prices are all subject to change.

Istanbul's extensive public transport system includes buses, metros (underground trains), trains, trams, sea buses, and ferries. Tickets can be purchased from main stops, stations, or kiosks prior to boarding. Istanbul's yellow taxis are reasonably priced, but travellers should ensure the meter is used. A cheaper alternative is to use a 'dolmus' (minibus or shared taxi). Driving is not advised for visitors.
