Getting around. Venice and the Lido are best explored on foot. Three-day passes for the public water bus cost 31 EUR and offer unlimited travel. Water taxis and gondolas are also available. Gondola ferries (traghetti) cross the Grand Canal and the fare is 50 cents. Drivers can leave their cars at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto.
