Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors.
Driving directions.
From Rome Fiumicino, take the A91 toward Roma.
Take the exit toward SS1 and merge onto the A90 North.
Take exit 1 toward Roma, onto the SS1.
Continue on the SS1 as it becomes Via Aurelia.
Continue on the Via Aurelia, then onto Piazza Irnerio, Via Blado degli Ubaldi, and Via Angelo Emo.
Take a slight left onto Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie, and continue on Via Candia, Viale Giulio Cesare, turning right onto Via Duilio, and finally right onto Via degli Scipioni.
