The Palazzo Grande is a boutique hotel located in the countryside of Umbria, Italy, 12 kilometres from the town of Perugia and 20 kilometres from Trasimeno lake. The small market town of Corciano is two kilometres away.
Hotel Features.
A converted stately home, the Palazzo Grande is set in 30 hectares of landscaped grounds with olive groves, cherry and walnut trees. A 17th-century villa, the building was once the seat of the Papal Delegate. Rooms are large and airy with vaulted ceilings and exposed brickwork. There is a consecrated chapel and dining room which still has many original features including frescoes.
The Palazzo Grande offers a complimentary buffet breakfast which is served in the dining room. Regional specialities are offered in the separate restaurant, open for lunch and dinner. The chef also caters for larger parties, which can be held in the garden or great hall.
The hotel's outdoor swimming pool has lovely views of the olive groves. There is also a football field, jogging track and gym.
